Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels on Ea Beck remain high and Thorpe Marsh reservoir is at capacity. We are expecting scattered showers throughout today (Monday, 11/11/19), however we do not currently expect this to have any further significant impact on river levels. River levels will remain high - especially in the lower catchments of Ea Beck. Property and farmland may still flood. We are closely monitoring the situation and have deployed two 12-inch pumps to Thorpe Marsh. Looking ahead we are expecting a band of rain to move across the catchments broadly from the east on Thursday night. This will be locally heavy, particularly for high ground exposed to the south and south-east. Given the wet condition of the catchment, we expect to see the rivers respond.
