River levels on the Ea Beck are rising in response to widepsread rainfall today. Areas most at risk include South Elmsall including Lower Northcroft and Minsthorpe Vale. Further rainfall is forecast into this evening and overnight. Please put your flood plan into action and take care when near washlands and low-lying land, which will be flooded. Avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses, and do not drive through floodwater. This message will be updated by 06:50am 03/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
