Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels are rising on the East Stour due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk include locations around the East Stour, particularly properties on and around Flood Street. Flooding is expected from 06:30 AM on 26/02/2024. Further heavy rainfall is forecast throughout this morning before clearing the area around 10am. River levels are expected to remain high, and the risk of flooding will remain throughout today 26/02/2024. We are clearing debris from weed screens in the area and we are liaising with emergency services and local authorities. We will continue to monitor the forecast. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 5:00 PM on 26/02/2024, or as the situation changes.
