Warning no longer in force

Thursday's early morning tide at 01:45 on 11/04/2024 is higher than normal due to unsettled weather with strong South Westerly Force 5 winds. The weather decreases tide table values by 0.05m. The total forecast tide is 5.08 metres Chart Datum (2.34 mAOD) at Chichester Harbour, approximately 50cm lower than Monday evening. There will still be moderate waves, but only minor new flood impacts are now expected. A Flood Alert remains in force to describe these. Flood water could continue to affect gardens, fields, and caravans in Bracklesham. Thursday's afternoon tide at 14:00 on 11/04/2024 is forecast to be 20cm lower (2.16 mAOD). Similar minor flood impacts are expected again Thursday afternoon. Minor flood impacts could continue until Friday 12/04/2024. We continue to monitor the forecast. Avoid Bracklesham Bay sea front at high tide. Larger waves can carry and throw large amounts of debris. We will reissue this Flood Warning if new property flooding is expected.
