Flood warning

Heavy rain is currently falling in the Great Easton catchment and will continue throughout this evening, Sunday 24th November. This is causing the Great Easton Brook to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the night. Low lying areas near to the Easton Brook are already flooded and we now expect properties to be affected this evening onwards. Properties on Banbury Lane in Great Easton are expected to be affected first. Further heavy rainfall is forecast for this evening, Sunday 24th November, and therefore river levels are expected to remain high over the next few days. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine on Monday 25th November, or before if the situation changes.
