Groundwater levels in Hambledon are high but slowly falling. At the borehole at Whitedale Farm, the level has fallen by 3.3m in the last week. Flooding is expected to be affecting cellars in the village. Sewerage system impacts are likely to be still ongoing. Dry weather is forecast from Wednesday 18/03/2026 to Sunday 22/03/2026. Groundwater levels will continue to slowly fall this week. If the weather forecast remains favourable next week, this Flood Alert will be removed. We are closely monitoring the situation and liaising with Hambledon Flood Action Group. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. This message will be updated by 18:00 25/03/2026.
