Groundwater levels in Kings Somborne and Little Somborne are high but falling slowly. At our borehole in Kings Somborne, the level peaked on Monday 15/04/2024 and has since fallen by 6cm. Groundwater is expected to be affecting a small number of cellars along Winchester Road, central Kings Somborne and in Little Somborne. Water is affecting the road to Crawley. From today 18/04/2024 to Monday 22/04/2024, minimal rain is forecast. Groundwater levels are expected to continue falling and the situation will slowly improve. However, groundwater flooding impacts will continue to affect Kings Somborne and Little Somborne throughout April and into May. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operating. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Thursday 25/04/2024.
