Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 18 February 2026 as further rain is forecast this afternoon (up to 25mm).
Flooding could affect gardens or properties nearest to the river in Marsh Road. Rainfall is forecast to continue through to Thursday morning, 19/02/2026. Rivers levels are expected to rise as a result of the forecast rain. River levels will also increase at each high tide, as the incoming tide will prevent the river from flowing out to sea. The next tide times are 23:45 on the 18/02/2026, and 12:00 on the 19/02/2026. Small amounts of rain are forecast from Friday, 20/02/2026 onwards, flood risk should reduce from Thursday 19/02/2026.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses . Including Marsh Road, Gurnard.
