Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are forecast to rise at the Hellifield river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is expected to begin between 14:45 and 15:30 today, 13/12/20. Flooding is expected to affect properties on Park Place, Park Crescent, Back Lane, Main Street close to the railway line and Lancashire and Yorkshire Terrace
We expect river levels to rise until 15:30 on 13/12/20.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
