Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Strong winds and large waves this afternoon may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 15:15 to 19:15 on Wednesday 7th October.
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers or on the coast, with spray being seeing on the seafront paths. Flood gates in the area will be closed by the Local Authority which will make access difficult. Please take notice of the Flood Sign at the top of South Beach Road. The detailed forecast is for a peak level at King's Lynn of 3.24mAODN at 17:15pm, on 7 October, which is 0.27m above tide tables, Wind Force 6, North Westerley. The high tide tomorrow morning 05:15am is expected to be alert threshold, flooding possible from 03:15am to 07:15am Thursday 8 October.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid beaches and coastal promenades, which may be flooded.
