Flooding expected. Take action now.
Heavy rain has fallen in the Louth and Lud catchments. This is causing Louth Canal to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the night. The rising river levels have already caused flooding of low lying land and roads in the area, and due to the deteriorating weather conditions we now expect properties from Austen Fen to Tetney Lock to be affected from the evening on Monday 2 April onwards. Low lying properties near the river are most at risk. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated as the situation changes. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council.
