Flooding expected. Take action now.
A Flood Warning is in force for the high tide at 23:30 on 02/01/2018, wave overtopping, tidal spray and onshore flooding may occur affecting roads and some properties adjacent to the coast. People are warned to stay away from the coast as there is risk of debris in the affected areas. Environment Agency officers are on the ground ensuring defences are in good working order, monitoring sea levels and wind directions. The tide is forecast to peak between 23:00 and 00:30. We forecast a tide height of 6.2 mAOD in this location. High water can be expected for 2 hours before and after the peak. For conversion between AoD and local chart or port datums please check your tide tables. Environment Agency staff are monitoring the situation and checking tidal defences. We currently forecast that the high tide at midday on 03/01/18 will not be above the Flood Warning level. We will update this Warning with further information in due course.
