Less rain fell overnight in Liss than was predicted. River levels are unlikely to have caused flooding to properties, are now falling, and should return to normal by Thursday 16/1/2020. We still have a Flood Alert in force for the Western Rother, for flood risk affecting locations between Midhurst and Fittleworth. Further heavy rain is possible Thursday afternoon 16/1/2020 with showers Friday too. River levels could rise again Thursday evening 16/1/2020 and generate minor flood impacts, potentially in Liss and Sheet as well. However, we currently think impacts will be similar or less than Tuesday 14/1/2020. We will update the text and our predictions in our Flood Alert on Gov.uk and on Floodline. You can check our messages there, to see if the forecast changes. If flood risk significantly increases we will re-issue our Flood Alert and potentially our Flood Warning too.
