Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

River levels have peaked at Redbridge but continue to rise steadily downstream following rainfall from Storm Darragh. Flooding of low lying land is possible today, 12/12/2024. Areas most at risk are those around the Little Ouse River from Rickinghall to Hockwold, including The Black Bourn, and River Thet from Attleborough to Thetford. The forecast for this week is dry, which will allow levels to start falling. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and are not expecting it to escalate. We will update this message by 9am tomorrow, Friday 13th December 2024.
