Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels peaked early this morning on the River Medway, River Teise and the River Beult following prolonged rainfall. Flooding of some properties in Yalding is currently expected still throughout today Tuesday 7 January 2025. Property owners with property flood resilience measures should deploy them now. Flooding is expected at Little Venice, The Tatt, Acott Fields and along Benover Road and Gravelly Ways are also possible. We are currently expecting river levels to remain high throughout today Tuesday 7 January 2025. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been in Yalding and the surrounding area and we are coordinating our response with local authorities and emergency services. This message will be updated by 6pm on Tuesday 7 January 2025 or sooner if the situation changes significantly.
