Flood alert

High river levels over the next two days may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible on 26 January 2026 and into 27 January. 
Prolonged heavy rainfall is forecast throughout Monday and into Tuesday. Catchments are saturated and rivers are expected to respond. Forecast levels may cause flooding to low lying land and roads close to the Lower Exe area. The main areas of concern are Bickleigh, Up Exe, Rewe, Stoke Canon and Exeter. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . 
This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 27 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
