Flood alert

High river levels today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from the evening of 11 February 2026 and into 12 February 2026 Locations most affected will be land around the lower River Nidd and its tributaries including Sand Beck, Sike Beck, Pool Beck and Great Gutter. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 9:00AM on 12 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
