Flood warning

River levels are high but slowly falling due to the recent rainfall. Flooding is possible. Flooding is affecting locations near the Lower Dorset Stour, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Beaulieu Garden Park Home Site.
There is 10-15mm of rain forecast overnight, so river levels may remain above the Flood Warning threshold for some time. We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please consider activating any property flood protection products and start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so. Stay away from floodwater - it contains hidden dangers such as open manhole covers, sewage and chemicals. Try to avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
This message will be updated by 11:00 AM on 27/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
