Flooding expected. Take action now.
This is a Flood Warning Update. Increased flooding is forecast to impact the Lower Dorset Stour due to increased flows and tidal influence. Impacts are most likely in undefended areas of Willow Way, Marina View, Watermead, Priory Quay, Convent Meadows, Sopers Lane and Mayors Mead Car Park. Further rain is expected tonight and tomorrow. We are closing flood gates and will continue to closely monitor the situation. We advise people to move cars away from low lying areas. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Refer to local authority websites for road closures. This message will be updated by 5:00PM on 30 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
