Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels tomorrow evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 09 February 2026 as a lot of rain is forecast (20mm).
River levels remain high from rainfall over the last few weeks. More rain is forecast on Monday 09/02/2026 from around 15:00 until early on Tuesday morning. Flooding may affect land and roads, including Burley Road, Brockenhurst. If maximum rainfall is realised, the river will be bank full as it flows through Martin’s Road and Balmer Lawn Road and may cause garden flooding at Balmer Lawn Road. In Lymington, the river could start to rise overinght on Monday, we would not expect impacts to property. Levels may drop temporarily by Wednesday but more rain Thursday could increase flood risk again.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have and avoid driving through watersplash areas in Brockenhurst.
