Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

The water level in the Lymington River at Brockenhurst is high but slowly falling. Today 19/02/2026, flooding is expected to affect land and roads, including Burley Road, Brockenhurst. Garden flooding at Balmer Lawn Road is expected to continue until tomorrow, 20/02/2026. In Lymington itself, the river will be higher than normal over high tide periods due to tide locking, but flooding impacts are not expected. River levels and flood risk will continue to reduce over the next 24 hours. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages. Avoid driving through watersplash areas in Brockenhurst. This message will be updated by 18:00 20/02/2026.
