Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides on Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from Wednesday's early morning tide at 02:45 on 10/12/2025.
The shingle beach has been impacted by high energy waves. The weather decreases tide table values by 0.01 m. Total forecast tide is 4.53 metres Chart Datum (1.79 mAOD) at Chichester Harbour. Strong South Westerly Force 6 wind. Strong winds and large waves may push the tide to the top of the beach at Bracklesham, with possibility of water flowing into ditches behind. Spray will affect beach top properties at the end of West Sands Lane and Medmerry. Wednesday's tide at 15:00 10/12/2025 is forecast to be 29 cm lower (1.5 mAOD).
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Don't put yourself or others at risk . Avoid Medmerry sea front at high tide. Stormy seas are dangerous.
