Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 1 March 2026. River levels on the Mid Bristol Avon at Bradford-on-Avon and Semington Brook at Semington are falling slowly. Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, particularly between Melksham and Bathford. The flood gates at Holt Road may be closed.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 11:00 AM on 2 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
