Flood alert

Flooding continues to be possible on 14 and 15 December 2025 .

Persistent rainfall is forecast throughout Sunday (14/12/2025) and Monday (15/12/2025), which will cause river levels to rise however, we do not expect Flood Warnings to be issued. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near river Eden and tributaries from Temple Sowerby to the confluence with the River Irthing at Warwick Bridge including Langwathby, Lazonby, Kirkoswald, Armathwaite, Wetheral and Warwick on Eden.


We are closely monitoring the situation.


Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
