River levels remain high and further rainfall may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 23 January 2026 . Flooding is possible in locations near the Upper Dorset Stour, Shreen Water tributaries between Gillingham and Sturminster Newton. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. Further rainfall is expected this afternoon and overnight tonight, which could cause river levels to rise. Flooding is possible. We are closely monitoring the situation . Consider activating any flood protection products you may have and avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 24 January 2026 or as the situation changes
