River levels are rising steadily on the Middle Dorset Stour due to rainfall overnight.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Middle Dorset Stour, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around tributaries between Sturminster Newton and Wimborne. Flooding is possible.
The outlook is for unsettled weather over the weekend and further showers are forecast.
River levels are rising steadily at the Hammoon gauge.
We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert if necessary. Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
