Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

The Flood Warning for the New Romney Sewage Arm remains in force due to high water levels in the local drainage system following a week of high rainfall accumulations. The Environment Agency has supplied additional pumping capacity at Greatstone Pumping Station to help draw the water level down. We continue to monitor the level and attend the site on a regular basis. Drier weather is expected today and tomorrow which will assist the reduction in levels. Further rain is forecast for Wednesday 8 November 2023, we will continue to monitor the situation. This message will be reviewed tomorrow morning Tuesday 7th November 2023.
