Flood warning

River levels remain high on the New Romney Sewage Arm due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk include locations around the New Romney Sewage Arm, particularly on and around Coast Drive. No further heavy rainfall is forecast for today although river levels are expected to remain high, and the risk of flooding will remain throughout today 26/02/2024. We are clearing debris from weed screens in the area and we are liaising with emergency services and local authorities. Continue to act on your flood plan if you have one. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00 PM on 26/02/2024, or as the situation changes.
