Flooding expected. Take action now.
Flooding is expected over the morning high tide on Monday 12th February. High water at Bude is at 7.16am. Times of high water will vary along the coast.
A significant high spring tide will be accompanied by Force 4 north-westerly winds and wave heights of up to 1.9m on Monday morning. This is expected to be the highest tide of this series and could result in significant overtopping of low-lying land, quaysides and property flooding within 1-2 hours either side of high tide. Expect tides to be around 210mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions. Please take action to protect yourself and your property and monitor local weather conditions. Do not drive through flood water.
We are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes.
Detailed tidal information for those who use it; The forecast high tide level at Ilfracombe is 5.41m AOD, this is 0.21 metres above astronomical tide level.
