Flooding expected. Take action now.
Flood warning issued due to strong northerly winds associated with Storm Arwen expected to cause large waves and spray overtopping along the North Yorkshire Coast tomorrow morning, Saturday 27th November between 08:00 and 14:30. Hazardous conditions might extend 2 hours either side of the high tide. Areas likely to be affected are paths and promenades along Spa complex in Scarborough. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous with debris. You can check flood warnings and alerts on the GOV.UK website or via Floodline number 0345 988 1188. We are monitoring the situation closely. This message will be updated by noon on Saturday 27th November 2021, or as the situation changes.
