Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are falling at the Oakington river gauge. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. We expect flooding to affect Dry Drayton Road, The Broadway, Cambridge Road, Orchard Way, Longstanton Road, Mead View, The Drift, Lowbury Cresent, Water Lane, Kettles Close, Holme Close, Arcadia Gardens, Cherry Orchard and Station Road in Oakington and Oakington Road in Westwick.
No further significant rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to continue falling.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
