Flood warning

Tides are expected to be higher than usual due to the forecast weather conditions and spring tides. Highest tide level of 1.43 mAOD is expected to be at Wareham Quay, Ridge, Redcliffe and Swineham areas at 10:00 PM this evening on 08/04/2024. Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of this time. Tomorrow morning’s tide is currently forecast to be a flood alert, which has been included in the alerts issued for Poole Harbour and East Coast of Dorset.
We will continue to monitor levels closely.
Please stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as the expected large waves and sea spray will be dangerous. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings.
