Flood alert

High tides, strong winds and large waves tomorrow morning may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 8:45AM to 12:45PM on 21 January 2026.
Areas most at risk include Poole Harbour and tidal stretches of the Lower Frome and River Piddle. The detailed tidal forecast for those who use it is for a peak level at Poole Harbour of 1.46 mAODN at 10:45AM on 21 January 2026, with Southerly force 7 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level.) Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded.
