Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Rising river levels this evening and overnight may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from midnight tonight, 31/12/2024.
Areas most at risk include River Porter Brook and its tributaries.
Further flooding is possible overnight as river levels will rise rapidly due to heavy rainfall.
River levels are forecast to peak at Sheffield Oakbrook Road between 06:00 AM and 12:00 PM tomorrow, 01/01/2025.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and liaising with emergency services and local authorities. We will issue flood warning where required.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded.
We will aim to update this message by 09:00 AM on 01/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
