Flood Warning

River levels have risen at the Poynton river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall on 31/07/19. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for some properties on Chester Road and Brookfield Avenue.
Further thunderstorms are forecast over the next few hours. We expect river levels to continue to rise.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue (further) flood warnings if necessary.
Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation.
This message will be updated this evening, 31/07/19, or as the situation changes.
