River levels are now falling at the Poynton river gauge. Consequently, the risk of flooding has reduced. Further potentially heavy showers are forecast overnight into Thursday afternoon (01/08/2019). We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid contact with flood water and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated in the morning, 01/08/2019, or as the situation changes.
