Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood Warning

High tides and a tidal surge will make water levels higher than usual. Tides will be at their highest at 08:40 tomorrow, 01/10/19, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. We expect flooding to affect properties in front of the flood defences, along the sea front at Snettisham
We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are liaising with the Local Authority, who have closed the flood gates at Hunstanton. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous and follow advice from emergency services.
This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
Detailed tidal information for those who use it: the predicted astronomical tide level is 4.88 mAODN. The forecast surge height is 0.2m. The forecast tide level is 5.08 mAODN. The forecast wind direction is north easterly. The forecast wind strength is Force 6.
