Flooding expected. Take action now.
Rising river levels on the River Kennet may cause flooding over the coming days.
Flooding of property and roads remains possible, especially in the Calcot and Theale areas. River levels continue to slowly rise on the River Kennet at Newbury but are now slowly falling around Theale. Further rain is forecast over the next 24 hours, which has the potential to be heavy at times. We expect river levels to remain high over coming days and levels will remain sensitive to further rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have. Go to River levels online for updates on current river levels. Stay away from flood water - it contains hidden dangers such as open man hole covers, sewage and chemicals.
