Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Heavy rain has fallen in the Ancholme catchment. This is causing the River Ancholme to rise and it is forecast to continue to rise through the day. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we now expect properties in Brigg to be affected this afternoon onwards. Low lying properties near the river on Manley Gardens in Brigg are expected to be affected first. No further rainfall is forecast, however, river levels may remain high. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by 13:00 on 07/01/2025, or before if the situation changes.
