Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising on the Rainford Brook due to persistent rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Rainford Brook, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around land and property close to Rainford Brook. Flooding is affecting land and property close to Rainford Brook between 01:00 AM and 04:00 AM on 24/07/2023. Further rainfall is forecast overnight. River levels are remaining high, but the risk of flooding to properties remains. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert/warning if necessary.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Consider activating any property flood protection products. This message will be updated by 11:00 AM on 24/07/2023, or as the situation changes. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one
