Flooding expected. Take action now.
This message has been issued because some minor flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely today, Tuesday 2nd January 2024. River levels are high in response to the rainfall but will likely stabilise soon. Areas most at risk are Lower Street, Rattlesden, the Ford at Wash Lane, Onehouse and around Ford Bridge at Combs ford. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. The forecast is for continued unsettled weather over the next couple of days with further showers expected. Take care on riverside footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are closely monitoring the situation. We will update this message on Wednesday 3rd January, or as the situation changes.
