Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising on the River Aire at Cross Hills as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is possible between midnight tonight, Sunday 20/02/2022, and into tomorrow, Monday 21/02/2022. Areas most at risk are Cross Hills and the Airedale Trading Park. No significant rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours and we expect river levels to remain high though tomorrow, Monday 21/02/2022, when they will then be able to slowly start to fall. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and put your flood plan into action.
This message will be updated by 07:50 tomorrow morning, 21/02/2022, or as the situation changes.
