River levels are rising on the River Aire due to heavy rainfall.
This Flood Warning has been issued because flooding is expected this evening on 20/10/2023 from 07:00 PM onward.
Areas most at risk include Knottingley including Cow Lane, West Ings Lane, West Ings Way, Marsh End, Marsh Lane, Fernley Green Road, Common Lane, Trundles Lane and Stocking Lane.
Further rainfall is forecast overnight.
Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one
Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
