Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen as a result of Storm Franklin. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible today, Monday 21/02/2022. The area most at risk is Mill Lane. Mickletown Ings is reaching capacity, therefore there is a risk that nearby properties may flood. The water levels in the Ings will remain high into tomorrow (Tuesday 22/02/2022).
No further rainfall is forecast but we expect river levels to remain high into tomorrow.
We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking defences and closely monitoring the forecast.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and be aware rivers could rise very quickly even if it's not raining where you are.
This message will be updated by 0:45, 22/02/22, or as the situation changes.
