The risk of property flooding in Snaith is reduced and the warning has been removed. The Alert for the wider area remains in force, although significantly reduced, water remains in the Lower Aire Washlands. Check routes before you travel: https://one.network/. Levels in Snaith Ings continue to fall, the bank at East Cowick is not spilling and pumping operations continue to empty the Ings. Yorkshire Water continue to pump water at George St to drain water away from properties. Tides are starting to build towards springs peaking Weds/Thurs, although washlands may operate again property flooding is not expected without the high river flow. If property flooding is expected then this warning will be issued. We monitor the situation in daylight hours and our incident room is open. To report property flooding call 0800 80 70 60. See GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast, Met Office for the latest weather and https://bit.ly/337mc1c for flood updates from East Riding Council
