Flood alert

Following snow melt and overnight heavy rainfall, river levels have peaked and are slowly reducing but remain high.
Areas most at risk include River Alt and other watercourses from Huyton to Hightown including, Kirkby, Fazakerley, Maghull, Formby, Aughton, Sefton and Lunt.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and closely monitoring the situation.
