Flood alert

River levels remain high this evening as a result of yesterday’s heavy rainfall. Flooding is possible throughout the rest of today, 28 January and into tomorrow, 29 January. Locations most affected will include the Stile Bridge area, Marden, Chain Hurst and Benover. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00am on 29 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
