River levels are high on the River Bourne due to the recent heavy rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect Parkhouse Corner, Cholderton, Newton Tony, Allington, Boscombe, Idminston and Porton.
The forecast remains unsettled and further heavy rainfall is expected this afternoon. River levels are high at the Tidworth Manor Bridge gauge and we will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert/warning if necessary.
Monitor your local water levels and weather conditions. Consider putting your flood plan into action. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 05:00 PM on 06/03/2024, or as the situation changes.
