Flood alert

Rising river levels today may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible on 15 January 2026 from 8:30pm. 
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads along the River Bourne at Hadlow and Little Mill.
. 
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and clearing blockages from debris screens. 
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. 
This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 16 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
