River levels have peaked and are falling on the River Calder in Dewsbury area following heavy rainfall overnight Tuesday 31 December 2024 and into early morning Wednesday 01 January 2025.
No further significant rainfall is forecast for the next couple of days and river levels are expected to continue to fall throughout this evening and overnight into tomorrow Thursday 02 January. Therefore this Flood Warning is no longer in force.
Please be aware that standing water may still remain on low-lying land and roads. We are continuing to closely monitor the forecast and will issue further flood alerts and warnings if required over the next few days.
