Flood warning

Following Saturday's persistent heavy rainfall and rapid snow melt due to Storm Bert, river levels have peaked and are now falling. Further heavy rainfall is expected throughout the early hours and into Sunday morning, 24 November, 2024. River levels are expected to rise again as a result of this rainfall, but are not expected to peak as high. Areas most at risk including properties along Halifax Road, adjacent to the Common Bank Wood. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 07:30 on Sunday 24 November 2024, or as the situation changes.
